21 The St Catherine of Siena Chapter Farmington Hills Michigan has organized A Day of Prayer and Reflection as part of their affective formation (Contact the group for a brochure). Ruth Kummer, former Provincial Council President, will conduct workshops on "A Safe Place" and "Contemplation", the two of eight Characteristics of True Community by Morgan Scott Peck. Interspersed in the workshops is performing various prayer ways of centering, meditation and contemplation by paying attention to body sensation, reading and chanting of the Scripture, and forming images. This Chapter monthly meeting will be held on the Fifth Sunday of Lent, March 21 2010, Sunday at the Blessed Sacrament Monastery in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
14-18 Preaching through the Arts -- Aquinas Institute, St.Louis
4 --Tour of Dominican Sites -- pilgrimage to follow in the footsteps of St. Dominic and to honor Our Blessed Mother. The trip starts on November 4, 2010 and has an ambitious agenda, including Spain, France and Italy. We are hoping to get a hardy group of pilgrims to go on this mission, following in the footsteps of our holy Founder's life and background. We have many great sites on the agenda designed especially for lay Dominicans, but of course the trip is open to anyone who is interested in the life of St. Dominic. Please look at the brochure.
