If you haven't read Fr. Radcliffe's What Is ThePoint of Being A Christian , you're missing an A-1 experience. It will take you down a peg or two and lift you up a mile or two. Most of us are familiar with his thinking, and this volume does a great job of bringing it together. it is both readable and challenging.

Just finished one of the best novels I've ever read...a thought-provoking work concerning "why does God allow suffering?" In this case, the main character tries to come to terms with his young daughter's murder vs. a loving God. TITLE: The Shack by Wm. Paul Young. If I was still in the classroom teaching Rel. Studies, I'd have all my Juniors & Seniors have this as required reading.

"The New Wine of Dominican Spirituality" by Rev. Paul Murray OP is highly recommended for all Dominicans. Fr. Murray (who has also written an excellent short book on the dark night of Mother Teresa) treats the question of just what is "Dominican spirituality"? He involves us in Happiness and Dominicans and the place of Study. Dominicans are encouraged to get drunk on the New Wine of the Gospel. Sounds like fun! He uses a wealth of knowledge gleaned from the early Dominicans. This answers the question on just what is Dominican Spirituality and how do we differ? A worthy read!

I am re=reading Fr. Murray's "The New Wine of Dominican Spirituality". Each reading finds me in a different place, so new insights. Very readable. Rita
